About Inner Rhythms
Kelley Boymer started Inner Rhythms in the fall of 2024 in the Mountain View’s Supervisory Union. Inner Rhythms is on a mission to provide tools for schools to grow a community of self-aware, compassionate, resilient, and confident kids.
Kelley is currently piloting this program at the Woodstock Elementary School (WES) but plans to expand to other schools in the district in 2025-2026. She leads mindfulness practices at WES every Thursday, including somatic exercises, guided relaxation/meditation, movement, yoga, and breathwork for the whole class, small groups, and 1:1.
WHY INNER RHYTHMS?
Kelley created Inner Rhythms because she was an anxious kid and struggled to focus and feel safe in school. Her goal is to help students, teachers, and caregivers better understand their emotions and the sensations in their bodies and have the tools to express and move through them.
HOW’S IT GOING?
After just 4 months, Kelley has seen so much progress in the classes, small groups, and individuals she has worked with. Every time she steps into that building, it is so clear how much this work is needed. She also teaches a free yoga class to teachers after school every Thursday.
WHAT’S NEXT?
Kelley is currently applying for grants to expand the program in the 2025-2026 school year. She hopes to hire and train more Inner Rhythms teachers so there can be a leader at each school in the MVSU school once a week to lead Inner Rhythms sessions. She is also planning to write a curriculum that could bring this program into schools and districts throughout the state.
THANK YOU
We are so grateful for the support we have already received from our community! We have already raised almost $5,000 in funds to continue this program through the new year. We are looking to raise a total of $20K to get us through the end of the 2025 school year while we secure further funding. Please visit the Go-Fund-Me below to support this important work! It is more important now than ever that we take care of the social and emotional well-being of the children in our community. As one 3rd grader said, “Mindfulness is a really good thing to have in your day!”
About the Founder
Kelley Boymer is yoga and mindfulness teacher in the Upper Valley of Vermont. She is a certified yoga instructor (RYT 500) and a trained Implement Leader for Yoga4Classrooms. She also completed her Master’s Thesis in Childhood Social and Emotional Health. As a former 3rd and 4th grade Elementary Educator, Kelley saw firsthand the need for social-emotional resources in the classroom, but found it to be so challenging when met with behavioral and curriculum demands. Based on her experiences in the classroom, Kelley decided to pursue her passion in the mental health world. Kelley founded Inner Rhythms in October of 2024 and is excited to bring these mindfulness practices to schools throughout Vermont for years to come!
